Ever since my early 30’s I wanted to participate in a triathlon. I had set a goal to accomplish this by the time I was 40. Well, 40 came and went with no triathlon done. So I reset my goal to do one by the time I was 45. The winter before I turned 45 I stumbled across Fleet Feet and their offering of a Tri 101 class. Unfortunately, the training session was closed and I was unable to get in. I was not involved in the running community and had no idea how to go about completing a triathlon. So I set my phone alert for Jan. 2013 and made sure I didn’t miss the Tri 101 sign-up in 2013. I completed Tri 101 that year as well as my 1st triathlon and have never looked back.
Short Term Goals
I have 3 or 4 races on my agenda for 2017 in the 70.3 Half Ironman Distance category and also plan to enjoy other shorter local races this season.
Long Term Goals
My long term goals include continuing to participate and complete any and all distance triathlons for now and many years to come. I am always training and looking for new adventures. Plans for my next Ironman will be some time in 2018
