I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to Huntsville in 2011 to work for a defense contractor as a Mechanical Engineer. I graduated from Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN in the fall of 2010. Growing up I was never a big runner and didn’t run my first 5k until 2011. In 2014 I heard that Fleet Feet was going to be doing a training course for the Racing the Station duathlon, and I decided to give it a try. I was immediately hooked, and decided I wanted move on to triathlons. My first triathlon was in April of 2015, it was an open water swim; at the time of the race the water temperature was 58deg F and I had never swum in a wet suit before. Needless to say, the race did not go well, but I loved it and decided to set myself a goal of completing an Ironman before I turn 30. I completed 2 70.3s in 2016, and I turn 29 in 2017 and am currently signed up for Ironman Chattanooga.
Short Term Goal
My main goal for 2017 is Ironman Chattanooga.
Long Term Goal
Continue racing and being a part of the triathlon community in Huntsville
